Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent pathology characterized by tissue similar to theglands and endometrial stroma outside the uterine cavity and affects mainly patients ofreproductiveage, presenting several manifestations, highlighting, in this study, deep intestinalinfiltrative endometriosis. The lesions have an asymmetric and multifocal nature ofdistribution, often advocating the combined use of surgical techniques as a form of treatment.The present study sets up a research, of a descriptive and exploratory nature, in order tocorrelate recurrent injuries and surgical approaches, with a focus on the interface between theareas of gynecology and coloproctology.
