The Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma appears both as the main neoplasm of the pancreas and as one of the ones with the highest mortality by the body, with death rates close to 87% in the United States. Some of its risk factors are well described and related, in particular smoking, the presence of a positive family history, which can be observed in the relationship of its pathophysiology with some specific gene alterations, and the diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis. The understanding of pancreatic anatomy is also fundamental, mainly for the understanding of its clinical expression, which may vary according to the affected segment, but also for the study of the possibility of resection, this being the only treatment with the possibility healing. This study aimed to review the literature on the main topics involved in the study of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma.
