Análise epidemiológica dos casos de HIV e tuberculose no Ceará nos últimos 10 anos

Abstract

To analyze the prevalence of tuberculosis/HIV co-infection in Ceará. Cross-sectional study with a quantitative ap-proach, with data obtained from the HIV / AIDSEpidemiological Bulletin and the Tuberculosis Epidemiological Bulle-tin. The AIDSinformation is from 1986 to 2019, HIV is from 2009 to 2019 and Tuberculosis is from 2008to 2018. According to the data obtained, Fortaleza remained until 2017 with thehighest HIV detection rate, and in 2018 So-bral ranked first. Co-infection is more prevalent inmales, with a high number of deaths in the 35-44 age group. In 2008, the percentage of newcases of tuberculosis tested for HIV was 36.5% and in 2018 it was 79.7%. The percent-age ofnew TB-HIV co-infection cases, in 2008, was 3.6% and, in 2018, it was 6, 6%. A large number of patients diag-nosed with HIV develop tuberculosis, and one of the mainfactors responsible for this event is the similarity in the profile of involvement of the twodiseases
